Company Profile

Roslin Cells is a Scottish Biotechnology company, founded in 2006 by the Roslin Institute with the support of the University of Edinburgh, the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service and Scottish Enterprise. The company operates on a not for profit basis whereby any surplus revenues generated will be reinvested into stem cell research.

The company operates its own facility to comply with clinical cell manufacturing standards for the isolation of high quality human stem cells. Through partnering with Roslin Cells on projects, these stem cells are made available to collaborators (both researchers and companies) for use in research, therapy and screening of new drug candidates, along with our comprehensive support and translation of academic research to GMP standards. Cells are also supplied to researchers without partnering arrangements.
