Roslin Cells is unique in that it has been able to draw on the substantial strengths of its institutional stakeholders to drive its business forward and establish the systems that are essential to the isolation of high quality GMP standard human embryonic stem cell lines:

  • Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) is the specialist provider of transfusion medicine in Scotland and has extensive experience of providing high quality blood, tissues and services for the benefits of patients. SNBTS is providing the clinical and regulatory expertise required to ensure that the stem cells produced by Roslin Cells Ltd comply with the Good Manufacturing Practice standards required for the cell lines to be of clinical grade
  • The University of Edinburgh is a world-leading centre of academic excellence with an international reputation for world-class research across a wide range of disciplines. The University is also very successful in commercialising the major scientific advances, discoveries, inventions and innovations generated by this research. www.ed.ac.uk
  • Roslin Foundation Limited is a registered charity established to help fund, support and promote scientific research in the biosciences field. It has evolved from the Roslin Institute, (which transferred its staff and research activities into the University of Edinburgh in 2008), and will utilise its funds to support related research
