The regulatory environment for stem cell in general and human embryonic stem cells in particular is evolving rapidly as the technology moves towards the market. As a result, new and unforeseen regulatory challenges may appear.

We work with our partners to ensure that research programmes are designed to address all foreseeable regulatory needs and that materials are available for later stage regulatory studies as needs arise.

By working closely with the regulatory authorities we are aware of their thinking as it develops and can design studies to address issues at an early stage in programmes.
