Benefits to collaborating
Recent funding calls from the Technology Strategy Board have highlighted the importance of academic/commercial collaborations. Relatively large pots of funding have been made available under these calls and only projects which fit the criteria of academic/commercial collaborations were accepted.
More and more, the UK stance has been to promote partnering between the sectors and benefits are not restricted to the obvious tangible funding. Long term interactions can lead to knowledge exchange which enhances each party involved.
In addition to attracting funding, collaborating with Roslin Cells allows partners the possibility to access our cell lines, take advantage of our expansive expertise in culture, media and reagents, as well as our dedication to Quality Assurance, Good Manufacturing Practise and quality systems. Roslin Cells can also assist by taking collaborations to a clinical end point and our geographical location in Scotland allows us to benefits from the UK’s advantageous regulatory landscape, by comparison to the rest of Europe.
