Roslin Cells offers a broad portfolio of services and products. Our aim is to allow individuals and organisations to accelerate their research by access to high quality cells (and associated characterisation data) and through collaboration with us.
Roslin Cells offers:
- GMP grade clinical human embryonic stem cell lines, produced under HTA license and therefore suitable for use in human therapeutic applications
- Research grade versions of our GMP grade human embryonic stem cell lines for pre-clinical research and development.
- Research grade human stem cell lines for non-clinical research
- Translation of academic stem cell research to GMP standards
- Expertise in the application of cGMP regulations to the regenerative medicine sector
We participate, either in a leadership or support function, on a wide variety of projects relating to the development of new cell therapies. These include the development of GMP-compliant differentiation protocols; screening for small molecules for use in differentiation; the development of new quality control testing technology; and the scale up of cell production.
Our experience in all aspects of cGMP-compliant production of stem cell therapies - including our ISO, HFEA and HTA accreditations - allows us to provide high quality support to both academic researchers and commercial companies.
For academic stem cell researchers, we have the capability and expertise to translate research to cGMP standard and help transform initial academic research to a clinically focussed development programme. In these projects, early engagement is always preferred as steps taken while the initial academic research is underway can streamline the translation to cGMP standard later in the project.
For commercial companies developing clinical therapies, we can offer extensive knowledge of the UK and EU regulatory regime and access to multiple cell clines which meet these regulatory standards.
For academics and commercial companies developing ancillary technologies, our knowledge of the challenges involved in developing a stem cell therapy makes us ideally placed to assist in the development of technologies aimed at the regenerative medicine sector. Our access to multiple stem cell lines and expertise in their culture, makes us the ideal partner for a technology development programme.
